  • 💫 Day 3: My Favorite FeetUp Pose Right Now! Yogi’s Choice Challenge’s are always so difficult as I want to be able to experiment with what looks really cool or flattering to my body. Instead I’m going to show you what FEELS the best inside and out, because that is what truly matters most!!! With that said, this is my go to Pose lately. It feels nice and I can hold it longer because of my head positioning. I weigh about 243 pounds. (Yeah I gained 7 pounds, but we aren’t going to discuss this at the moment) and I can balance this pose without even thinking of it. Muscle memory helps as I do this one a lot so my arms know where to go to help distribute my weight. Yes all 243 pounds of it. Okay okay let’s briefly chat about it. I’ve been more depressed and stressed than ever before. I’m not taking control of my health like I know I can. Wish I could switch lives with someone else for a day or four. With that said, I’m exactly where I need and want to be. As I meditate I understand that I am here with my family because I know that I need to be. However sometimes I daydream about breaks on the beach with drinks! 🍹

  • 🌟 Day 2: Humbled warrior or Baddha Virabhadrasana. Say that one out loud! 🙌🏻 I’m out of shape. My practice fell apart when my son’s health took another turn for the worst. My boy @lucasthorkelley is strong. So I have to be even stronger because I’m his Mama. That’s what we do. We peel ourselves out of bed, and when the shit gets tough, we get tougher. I have yet to be able to bind my hands. I literally could not stretch my arms back up behind me. I did my best. That, I will say. So far this challenge is really helping me get back to my mat. I had a really bad mastitis infection, and I’m a nursing mother so I’ve been under the weather. I found out that I am considered a pre-diabetic. Shocker. So now I gotta be mindful, lose ten or more pounds. So this challenge came at the right time. I need to get back to my mat consistently. Cheers!

  • 🌟 Day 1: Goddess Pose or Utkata Konasana! It’s hard for me to say that I feel like a goddess. To be honest with you I feel like a hippo. Which I really don’t mind because hippopotami are probably “my people”. They get to eat, swim, sleep, and nobody really messes with them. They are fierce creatures. With that being said I do feel fierce. So we will go with that!
