Apple Crisp – In Your Crockpot!

Autumn in New England is by far my favorite season! Baking with my grandmother is one of my happiest childhood memories. However, I can’t remember any recipes. I’ve never been that great in the kitchen, but I totally redeemed myself this week!

My family and I went to Palazzi Orchard yesterday. We picked 9 honey crisp apples, took a hayride, and snapped up a great big pumpkin!

Step 1: Take out 1/2 cup of butter, and let it sit on the counter.
Step 2: Rinse your apples!

Step 3: Peel ’em

Step 4: Core them!

Step 5: Slice them thin!

Step 6: Lay the slices in your crockpot!

Step 7: Sprinkle 1/4 cup of white sugar on top of your slices!

Step 8: Sprinkle 1 tsp of cinnamon on top!

Step 9:  Mix 3/4 cup of flour, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, and 3/4 cup of oatmeal together in a separate bowl.

Step 10: Cut in butter with a pastry blender!

Step 11: Pour your mixture onto your apples!

Step 12: Pack it down!!

Step 13: Set it for 3 hours on high, and forget it 😉

Mix it up, or don’t! Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!  So Good! Enjoy!
